PGCert Higher Education admissions requirements
To be eligible to apply for the Online PGCert Higher Education Policy Into Practice, you will need to have obtained (or be predicted to obtain) an upper second-class degree or equivalent from a UK university or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
If you do not meet the academic entry criteria, we will accept applications with a second-class degree or equivalent qualification from a UK university or recognised institution with evidence of at least 2 years of relevant work experience. We also accept applications with no degree but 5+ years of work experience in fields related to Higher Education.
We welcome applicants with an appetite for learning. This programme combines modules from multiple disciplines. Expect to cover some coding and maths, starting at secondary schooling level and above.

Curriculum vitae (CV) or résumé | Supply an up-to-date CV demonstrating your academic and work experience, plus any other skills that may support your application. This will help us to ensure you have the right experience for the programme. |
Statement of purpose | While the statement of purpose is optional, it is your opportunity to draw attention to your skills, experience, and goals, and to explain why you wish to apply for this programme. |
One reference | One reference dependent on entry mode: your reference can be uploaded to your application by your referee or emailed directly to your Student Recruitment Coordinator. Depending on your eligibility, this may not be required. Please request more information for details. |
Evidence of language (if applicable) | If English is not your first language, you will need to also supply an up-to-date English language certificate. We accept up-to-date Academic IELTS certificates with a score of 6.5, and no less than 6.0 in any band. |

Transfer credits

- Sociotechnical learning environments
